Biography
Jacob N. “Jake” Bango was born on March 19, 1988, in Breese, Illinois, a son of Joe and Mary Jane (Hustedde) Bango.
Jake was a member of St. Mary’s Church and attended Kaskaskia Education Center at Warren G. Murray Developmental Center. He loved music and movies, listening to Uncle Mike play the fiddle, swimming, camping and he enjoyed being with people, especially his cousins.
Jacob N. Bango entered into rest on Wednesday, January 27, 2010, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese. He was 21 years of age.
Jake is survived by his parents – Joe and Mary Jane Bango of Carlyle; his paternal grandmother – Leona Bango of Carlyle; 2 aunts – Jeannie (Kevin) Beckemeyer of Marion and Joyce (John) Bacone of Indianapolis, Indiana; 5 uncles – Dennis (Sharon) Hustedde, Don (Melinda) Hustedde, Michael Hustedde (friend Susan Winkeler), Ron (Donna) Hustedde and Mike (Phyllis) Bango, all of Carlyle; his cousins – Tobie Hustedde (fiancé Jenna Weh), Crystal Ennen, Jeremy (Amy) Hustedde, Kristin (Jason) Vonhatten, Jerad Hustedde, Nick Hustedde, Megan Hustedde, Benjamin Taylor (fiancé Laura Dyer), Ginger (Josh) Staples, Cassie Taylor, Ryan Beckemeyer, John Bacone, Katie Bacone (fiancé Justin Lane), Tyler Bango, Abby Bango and Dennis Hustedde, Jr.’s son, Eddie Kern. He is also survived by a special friend and caregiver, Andrea Dempsey and his beloved dog, Maggie.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather – Abelino Bango; his maternal grandparents – Ray and Alvina Hustedde and a cousin – Dennis Hustedde, Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 30, 2010, at St. Mary’s Church with Fr. George Mauck, officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M., and on Saturday from 8:00 A.M. – 12:30 P.M.
Expressions of sympathy in Jake’s memory may be made to Community Link or to the Epilepsy Foundation of America and will be received at the funeral home.
