Biography

Raymond H. Deiters, age 62 of Carlyle, died Friday, March 5, 2010 at St. Joseph Hospital in Breese. He was born December 8, 1947 in Breese, a son of Raymond T. and Mary M. (Wuebbles) Deiters. He married Mary A. Wuebbels December 19, 1970 at St. Teresa’s Church in Marydale, and she survives. Also surviving is his Mother, Mary M. Deiters of St. Rose; a daughter, Kari Rose & husband Shane of Carlyle; a son, Kory Deiters & wife Kim of Carlyle; 5 grandchildren, Alyssa & Emily Deiters, and Hailee, Shayna and Hunter Rose; a sister, Carolyn (Terry) DeWeese of Georgia; and 4 brothers, John (Marcie) Deiters of Beckemeyer, Ron (Lucy) Deiters of Tennessee, Don (Linda) Deiters of Breese, and Gene (Julie) Deiters of Georgia.

Ray served in the U.S. Navy in Vietnam, and was a member of the American Legion Post 1227, Beckemeyer. He was a member of Teamsters Local 600, and worked at Frisella Moving and Storage in St. Louis. In his free time, he enjoyed collecting bottle caps, gardening, and most of all, spoiling his grandchildren.
